This is a rare single page advertising herald (flyer) commemorating 5000 performances of the Japanese production of the ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, RICHARD STILGOE and CHARLES HART musical hit "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" at several venues throughout Japan. (The Original Japanese production opened April 29th, 1988at the Dentsu Shiki Theatre in Tokyo
and closed September 20th, 1988 before going on tour. The production has played continuously in Japan for over 30 years, returning approx. every three years to Tokyo.) ..... Side Note: On January 9th, 2006,

CONDITION: With the exception of a perforated edge on the right side (perhaps a ticket order form was at one time attached) and surface wear along the top edge of the backside, this rare flyer is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
