    This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the one-night, National Tour engagement of the DALE WASSERMAN, MITCH LEIGH and JOE DARION musical "MAN OF LA MANCHA" at the Durfee Theatre in Fall River, Massachusetts on April 8th, 1969. (The production opened November 22nd, 1965 at the ANTA Washington Square Theatre in New York City and ran for 2728 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The musical starred DAVID ATKINSON as "Don Quixote" and PATRICIA MARAND and featured LOUIS CRISCUOLO, SEYMOUR PENZNER, RONN CARROLL and IAN SULLIVAN ..... This single page, two-sided handbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes a wonderful AL HIRSCHFELD illustration, production credits, performance date and ticket prices on the front and excerpts from several New York reviews and a ticket order form on the backside ..... CONDITION: This handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
