THE MIKADO
, Herald (Advertising Flyer), 04/87, Virginia Theatre, NYC.
The Canadian Stratford Festival production of the musical revival opened in NYC on 04/02/87 and ran for only 37 performances.  The front features artwork, show title, Gilbert & Sullivan credit, Stratford Festival, Canada credit, performance schedule, ticket schedule, critic's quote and theatre credit.  The back contains production photos and critics' quotes.  The cast includes Avo Kittask, John Keane, Marie Baron, Karen Wood and Karen Skidmore.  Music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W.S. Gilbert.  Directed and choreographed by Brian MacDonald.

Heralds
are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs.  Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches.  Brochure style heralds can be one sheet or multi folds and measure about 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches.
Condition is near excellent with minor wear.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
