Vintage Composition Petite American Character Doll “Sally Joy” Tagged Dress.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Beautiful and big, all original composition Sally Joy by American Character Doll Co. Circa early 1930’s.
She is 24” tall, composition shoulder head, full arms and legs and a firmly stuffed cloth body. Her body is in good condition with no rips, holes or repairs.
Her face is really beautiful. Her coloring is very fair with healthy, rosy cheeks, bright lips, original human hair lashes and hand painted brows. She has clear, sleeping blue eyes.
Her human hair wig still retains the original curls.
She is wearing her original, pale teal tagged cotton sleeveless dress, a full white cotton slip, white bloomers, and her original shoes. I have added a vintage, hand crocheted pink and cream sweater.
Her tag reads “Lovable Petite Doll” with a picture of a Dolly face.
Dress in in very good condition for its age. Has some usual age related wear and thinning, but is free from holes or rips.
She has some minor issues that I have pictured. Some slight paint loss to her hands, but all her fingers are intact.
Some slight crazing but no lifting. Her wig is in great condition for its age with very minor thinning.
Other then what is mentioned above she is a beautiful example of an early Petite American Character doll.
Sally Joy comes with her wind up toy Collie dog that is in perfect working condition.
